WHAT IS LYTECTM
LyTecTM , commonly known as Electroluminescent Wire or EL Wire, starts with a core of phosphorescent material coated, flexible copper wire. Two hair-thin wires are then wrapped around the core. A waterproof sheath is applied before the colored translucent plastic layer encapsulates it all. When a high frequency electrical voltage is applied, it glows like neon.
The wire is flexible and emits light along its entire length as well as its circumference. It is available in a wide range of colors and several diameters. Cool to the touch, it can be cut to any length, from centimeters to thousands of meters. LyTecTM can be powered by either battery operated drivers (DC) or by household current (AC).
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY The innovative electroluminescent (EL) lighting wire, LyTecTM, is an electronic component protected by worldwide patents. The wire is flexible, emits light along its entire length as well as its circumference, and is available in a wide range of diameters. It can be cut to any length, from centimeters to thousands of meters, comes in a variety of colors, and is cool-to-touch. LyTecTM is powered by battery operated drivers or by a household outlet.
is working closely together with ELAM
ELAM Electroluminescent Industries Ltd., the developer and manufacturer of LyTecTM, was established in 1994 and began sales in 1998. The Elam plant resides in the new "Hi-Tech" industrial complex in Jerusalem, Israel, and the 30,000 sq. ft. facility is ISO 9002 certified. LyTecTM has been approved by the CE and UL.
